Whilst the One Day WordPress Training Course is usually delivered by Course Director Paul Quillin-Creamer, it can only happen with the backing of our admin and support team, and you can contact us at any time on 01727 768524.
Course Director: Paul Quillin-Creamer
Paul has undertaken several courses with the Open University covering website design, standards of practice and search engine optimisation, and has been a full-time website developer since 2003, during which time he has created a wide variety of sites for a diverse range of clients, to suit each client’s own individual requirements.
Examples of Paul’s work include the development of a highly successful bespoke artist’s website (www.artistsinfo.co.uk) and sites in the healthcare, construction, insurance, catering and charity sectors.
Paul’s principle focus has been effective sites for small to medium-sized companies (SMEs), sole traders, and start-up businesses, for whom the building of a website can be relatively expensive, not only in monetary terms but also in the time they need to devote to dealing with the web developer. The typical cost of building a basic WordPress site is £800 for a good developer/designer.
Why Learn WordPress?
The idea of the One Day WordPress Training Course is to give people without knowledge of WordPress the confidence and knowledge to use it for themselves, not only to build a website but also maintain it.
The process of learning WordPress can seem daunting and at first glance, it may seem too difficult and time consuming. However if you break the learning down into smaller chunks, it will become logical and intuitive.
And maintaining a WordPress website can be even more expensive, with some developers charging £75 or more for changes – adding a page or image or amending the text – that should take just a few minutes to complete.
So being able to master WordPress can have major benefits for you and your business. And maybe you’ll even find that you have skills that others will be happy to pay for!
